Doris served for 7 terms in Japan, undertaking a wide range of responsibilities: Bible teaching, tract distibution, starting a book store, coordinating camp ministry, and music. She retired from the field in 1989, but was able to return for a four month stint in 1993-1994, teaching in place of missionaries on furlough.
